Each year, our goal is to open online registration by April 1. For the second year in a row, we are going to miss that target date. Last year, on April 1, we were just trying to wrap our minds around “Shelter at Home” orders for the state of Colorado (Wyoming did not have that mandated, but they were still reeling from the initial days of COVID). This year, COVID’s impact remains.
We use CampDocs for registration because that is the platform that Quaker Ridge Camp and Conference Center selected. CampDocs give us a way to do online registration at a reasonable rate. Quaker Ridge, however, has been hesitant to complete the contract with CampDocs until they are more confident that COVID will not shut down another camping season. (COVID had a devastating impact on almost all camps: Christian and secular.)
Our hope is that this delay will be resolved by mid-April and we can open up online registration at that time.
We (Front Range Camp Staff) are planning for a full week of activities and fun. There will be some changes, be we are working to make this a safe and awesome summer. We missed the kids last summer.
